Blackheath Wanderers Vets Section was formed in the early 1980's when older players from our 1st, 2nd and 3rd senior teams were feeling a bit tired and needed to slow down a bit, but still wanted competitive football at a good level. Some of the first players to start the team were John Pratt, Don Fisher and the late Jack Gregory. John and Don are still at the club and helping out with the day to day running of Blackheath Wanderers. We play approximately 38 games a season which are all friendlies and a few Cup games. We are more of a social side and you can see most of the Vets at the BWFC bar after a home game having a beer with our opposition, win or lose. Every one's welcome to pop along to our club and support our Vets side and join us for a drink or two at the bar.
